My dining partner and I had a delicious lunch today at The Cove. Although there was some construction going on that was pretty loud (off hours would have been better), we had an attentive waitstaff and promptly served food. We ordered the TNT shrimp appetizer. It arrived quickly, was hot, and very nicely breaded. I appreciated that the tail shells had been removed. The TNT sauce (really a remoulade) was delicious. We then split the steak and cheese with the curly fries. Our server not only brought us two plates but a serrated knife as well. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to split a sandwich with a regular knife and all it does is make a huge mess. When we requested a bit of mayonnaise she brought us each our own little cup. We truly appreciated her attention to details. The steak they used was tender and had good flavor, the vegetables crisp and hot and the cheese nicely melted. It is probably one of the best S&C I've had in a really long time. The curly fries were nicely seasoned but not overly salted (which I find happens frequently) and were a nice complement to the sandwich. When our server realized we were low on our drinks (water) but probably ready to go, she offered go cups. I will absolutely plan to go back.
I found this on Google Maps and was quite pleasantly surprised. The servers were amazing, the atmosphere was very welcoming, and the food was great. I had a crabcake sandwich the first time and a NY Strip Steak the second and it was quite good. NY Strip Steak is even better than some places in the city. I will be back in the future.
Had a wonderful chicken wrap and the best homemade potato salad for lunch today! The restaurant is very clean with cute nautical decor overlooking the lake. Service was fast and friendly, looking forward to coming back during for dinner and live music on the weekends! This is a cool spot you MUST check out!
We live around the corner and eat here frequently. Great atmosphere. Friendly people. Great staff. Tonight we had the pleasure of the New Years Eve menu. This was one of the best meals my wife and I had all Year. Perfect way to finish 2024. The Pic speaks for itself. Thank you Cove and happy new year!
Absolutely love this place! The service, food, drinks and atmosphere have made this a go-to stop for us when we're here for work from Richmond. The crab queso is a must order! So so good with the old bay tortilla chips. I am absolutely in love with their Key Lime Covelada and their Mango Crush. Everything we've eaten here has been outstanding and the views are stellar! It's even better when you can catch some of their live music on the deck too! We love this place and we'll continue to keep coming back!
We shared the fish and shrimp tacos! Both were delish- but the shrimp were ah-mazing! It was a quiet Tuesday lunch with perfect weather out on the deck! Cam't wait to come back!
I love this place because it's very close to the lake house. The beer is always cold, and they offer a great menu of favorites and specials. The views are stunning, and the service is consistently friendly. They have an outdoor patio for the warmer months and another bar on the lower level that looks fun, even just from passing by. You should definitely come and check it out!
Such a great experience all around! The service was 11/10 and the food and drinks were great. The manager and servers took such great care of us. We went on a night with live music (Dakota Kensey) and they absolutely killed it. Such a great environment and will absolutely be back!
